Agreement to these Terms
By installing, accessing, or using Reddot, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use Reddot. If you use Reddot on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and the words you and your include that organization.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Reddot AI. Mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live remain unaffected.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use Reddot. Reddot is not directed to children. You may not use Reddot if applicable law prohibits you from receiving the service or if Reddot AI previously suspended your access for serious or repeated misuse.
What Reddot provides
Reddot is a Chrome extension that lets a user select a simple availability signal and, when visibility is enabled, display that signal beside the corresponding public profile to other Reddot users. Signals may include being open to a personal connection, conversation, or partnership.
Reddot does not provide identity verification, background checks, matchmaking, employment placement, professional advice, or a guarantee that another person will contact, respond to, or accurately represent themselves. A signal is a user controlled expression of intent at a point in time and should not be treated as consent to contact in any particular manner.
A visible signal never authorizes harassment, repeated unwanted contact, discrimination, surveillance, or any conduct that violates another person’s boundaries or the rules of a third party platform.
Limited license and browser permissions
Subject to these Terms, Reddot AI grants you a personal, limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to install and use Reddot for its intended purpose.
The extension requests only browser permissions needed for operation. These may include active tab access on supported pages, local storage, alarms for synchronization, access to supported social network pages, and access to red-dot.ai. Permission descriptions in the Chrome Web Store and browser installation flow are part of the notice provided to you.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction. Open source components remain governed by their applicable licenses.
Your responsibilities
- Use Reddot only with a browser profile and social profile you are authorized to use.
- Keep your device, browser profile, and extension installation secure.
- Select only a signal that accurately reflects your current intent.
- Review and update or hide your signal when it no longer reflects your intent.
- Comply with applicable law, these Terms, our Policies, and the terms of supported third party platforms.
- Use good judgment before communicating with or meeting another person.
Acceptable use
You may not use Reddot to:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, shame, exploit, or intimidate another person.
- Send unlawful, deceptive, discriminatory, hateful, sexual, or unwanted communications.
- Impersonate another person or falsely claim control of a profile.
- Collect, scrape, index, sell, enrich, or build a database of profiles or signals.
- Use bots, automation, bulk requests, or technical measures that exceed normal personal use.
- Probe, test, bypass, disable, or interfere with security, access controls, rate limits, or service integrity.
- Introduce malware, harmful code, denial of service traffic, or unauthorized requests.
- Use signals to make eligibility, employment, housing, credit, insurance, education, or other consequential decisions.
- Violate intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights.
- Help another person do anything prohibited by these Terms.
We may investigate suspected misuse and take proportionate action, including limiting requests, hiding signals, revoking an installation credential, or restricting access.
Third party platforms and services
Reddot operates on or alongside services that Reddot AI does not own or control. LinkedIn, Google Chrome, the Chrome Web Store, and any other third party service are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, availability, and technical decisions.
Reddot is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by LinkedIn, Google, or another social network. We are not responsible for a third party platform changing its design, restricting extension behavior, suspending an account, or becoming unavailable. You are responsible for complying with that platform’s rules.
Privacy and visibility
Our Privacy Policy explains what information Reddot processes and your privacy choices. By selecting and displaying a signal, you direct Reddot to associate that signal with your public profile and make it visible to other Reddot users while your visibility setting is on.
You can hide your signal through the extension. Uninstalling stops the extension from operating on your device, but it may not automatically delete server records. You may request deletion by contacting hello@red-dot.ai.
Ownership and intellectual property
Reddot, including its software, design, text, graphics, branding, features, and documentation, is owned by Reddot AI or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.
You retain rights in information you provide. You grant Reddot AI a limited worldwide license to host, process, reproduce, and display that information only as necessary to operate, secure, and improve Reddot and to comply with law. This license ends when the information is deleted from active systems, subject to lawful retention and protected backups.
If you provide feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.
Availability, updates, and changes
Reddot is currently provided without charge. We may improve, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service. We may release extension updates automatically through the Chrome Web Store. We will provide notice where applicable law requires it.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, compatibility with every browser version or page design, or permanent availability of any feature. You should not rely on Reddot as the sole means of communicating important information.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reddot is provided as is and as available. Reddot AI disclaims all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, security, and noninfringement.
We do not warrant that signals are current or accurate, that another person controls the profile shown, that communications will be safe or welcome, or that use of Reddot will produce a particular personal or business result. You assume responsibility for your interactions and decisions.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those jurisdictions, these exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reddot AI and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, opportunities, relationships, or business interruption, arising from or related to Reddot.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Reddot AI for all claims arising from or related to Reddot will not exceed the greater of one hundred United States dollars or the amount you paid to Reddot AI for Reddot during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights and liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or personal injury where applicable law so provides.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Reddot AI and its affiliates from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your unlawful misuse of Reddot, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from Reddot AI’s own unlawful conduct.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Reddot and uninstall the extension at any time. You may separately request deletion of server records.
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or another person, comply with law, address security risk, or respond to a material or repeated violation of these Terms. Where appropriate and lawful, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute terms, and general provisions.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Reddot AI is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. To the extent permitted by law, courts with jurisdiction over the registered office of Reddot AI will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or Reddot.
Before filing a formal claim, you and Reddot AI agree to make a good faith effort to resolve the dispute by written notice. Send notice to hello@red-dot.ai and describe the issue and requested resolution. Either party may seek urgent injunctive relief where necessary to prevent immediate harm.
If you are a consumer, this section does not deprive you of mandatory protections or the right to bring proceedings in a forum available under the law of your residence.
General terms
These Terms and the policies they reference are the entire agreement concerning Reddot. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. Reddot AI may assign them in connection with a merger, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, or transfer of the service. No person other than the parties has a right to enforce these Terms unless applicable law provides otherwise.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and additional notice where required. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
